Hardwiring Tips for Your LED Bathroom Mirror

Dear valued customer,
Thank you for choosing our LED mirror products. Whether you prefer a plug-in setup or hardwiring to a wall switch, we’re here to help you install it safely and efficiently. While hardwiring integrates the mirror seamlessly with your bathroom’s electrical system, we strongly recommend hiring a licensed electrician—especially if you’re new to electrical work. Below is a detailed guide to help you understand the process (safety always comes first—consult a pro if unsure!).
Tip 1: Prioritize Safety—Power Off First!
Safety is non-negotiable. Before starting, turn off the power to your bathroom at the main circuit breaker. Locate your home’s electrical panel and switch off the breaker labeled for the bathroom. For extra caution, use a voltage tester to confirm no electrical current remains in the wall’s electrical box. Never work with live wires!
Tip 2: Prepare and Connect the Mirror Wires
Our LED mirrors come with a power cord, but for hardwiring, you’ll need to remove the plug first. Follow these steps:
1.Identify the Ground Wire: Locate the green wire (critical for safety) and connect it to the grounding screw or terminal in the electrical box.
2.Hot and Neutral Wires: The remaining two wires are typically black (hot) and white (neutral), though colors may vary by region or model. Connect them to the load wires in your electrical box.
Pro Tip: In standard setups, you can attach them to either load wire—no need to stress about color matching (the circuit functions either way).
Tip 3: Install the Socket
Refer to the rear-view images of the mirror (provided for reference). The power cord is usually centered, so install the socket on the mirror’s rear side within the frame.

Final Reminders
If any step feels unclear, stop and consult a licensed electrician. Incorrect wiring poses fire or shock risks.
After installation, test the wall switch to ensure the mirror light turns on/off smoothly.

We hope these tips make your installation seamless! For further questions, reach out to our support team and include a photo of your purchase receipt.
